the silence.

i have come to find that everything is louder in silence. while sitting in a quiet, long, corridor of an office building, try opening a soda can. no matter how quietly you attempt to open it, the final 'pop' will be louder than it has ever been in your previous soda can opening experiences. music that is so silent that it hardly carries noise can be heard as if it were a booming orchestra when played in silence. the voice of God too, is louder in silence, when distractions are banned, and the mind is allowed to quit processing the interrupting sights and sounds. in silence, ones thoughts can be screaming. at any other time, it isn't hard to turn on music, look around, cause diversions to the thoughts being produced. but in silence this is not possible, the thoughts are there, rapid fire mode.
